FileZilla is perfect for files bigger than 1 GB, like large worlds, for moving lots of files at once, and for downloading your files to your computer.
1. Get your login details
- In your panel, open Settings. Under SFTP Details, you'll find your server address and your username.
- Your SFTP password is the same password you use to log in to the control panel.
2. Get FileZilla
Download it free from https://filezilla-project.org. Make sure you choose FileZilla Client, not FileZilla Server.
3. Connect
At the top of FileZilla, fill in:
- Host: your SFTP server address, starting with
sftp:// - Username: your SFTP username
- Password: your control panel password
- Port:
2022
Then click Quickconnect.
4. Move your files
Once you're connected, the files on your computer are on the left, and the files on your server are on the right.
- To upload, drag a file or folder from the left into the right.
- To download, drag from the right into the left.
Good to know
- Stop your server before replacing worlds or big folders.
- Drag whole folders, not just single files.
- Next time, the dropdown next to Quickconnect remembers your server.
