Automate your server

Automate your server

Files, backups & automation · Updated 27 October 2026

Schedules run tasks for you on a timer, like taking a backup every six hours.

Create a schedule

  1. Open Schedules, and click Create schedule.
  2. Give it a name.
  3. Set when it runs. For every six hours, put 0 in Minute, and */6 in Hour. Leave the others as *.
  4. Click Create schedule.

Add a task

  1. Click Manage schedule, then New Task.
  2. Under Action, choose Create backup, then click Create Task.

You can also send a command, like a warning message, or restart the server.

That's it. Your server now backs itself up every six hours. When you reach your backup limit, the oldest backup is replaced.

Timing examples

  • Minute 0, Hour */6: every 6 hours
  • Minute 0, Hour 4: every day at 04:00
  • Minute */30: every 30 minutes

* means "every", and times are in UTC.
