Major March Update - Please Read

Hey All! We are currently performing significant updates that we hope will improve the quality of experience for our clients here at PiglinHost. This will involve some downtime. We will post via #updates for any downtime/changes/updates in our Discord server, as well as what node is affected. We highly recommend joining for the latest/quickest updates. if you would prefer not to read this article. You can find our Discord link via the website.

 

We will be performing major updates to both the panel and nodes starting this Saturday 12th March 2022. Below you can find some of the improvements.

 

Bought a server and it's pending?

If you have just purchased a service from us, the status will be set to Pending until this upgrade has been fully completed. Once ready, your service will be activated automatically and we will personally send you a email too - we will also compensate your account with additional free days of service to make up for this!

 

Existing Clients:

Nodes US2 & US3 are pending their hardware upgrades and therefore if your server is on one of these two nodes they will be migrated to a new US7 & US8 node. This will be done seamlessly via the night to affect any interruption. If you are on nodes US1, US4, US5 or US6 your service has already been upgraded. Clients on EU1 & EU2 will not need any upgrades due to the hardware already configured on these nodes.

 

Main Updates:

  • Security Fixes (Includes API & SSL Changes)
  • Whole Range of Bugfixes
  • Fix CPU Spikes Showing on Panel as well as more realistic usage chart.
  • Optimize CPU & Memory usage across all services (Major Update)
  • Automatic recognition if your service needs a different Java version!
  • Quicker version changes

 

Hardware Changes:

  • Updated CPU/Ram configurations
  • All are now running on nVMe drives rather than SSD drives.

There is a host of other changes that have been implemented however not noticeable from a client perspective.
